You may have noticed a new button on the schedule page called View Cancellations
This new feature has three awesome parts to it.
1. It lets you see the time slots where customers have cancelled.
2. It gives you the names of the people who were previously booked.
3. It also gives you the day/time the appointment was cancelled and who the appointment was cancelled by.
Here is how you can access this feature:
> Click on View Cancellations. You will then see a green box in the time slots of where cancellations have been made. There will also be a number in the green box that will tell you how many people have canceled in that spot.
> Click on the green box and a pop up window will appear with all the details of the past cancellations.
> To go back to viewing just the schedule page without the cancellations, click on the red Hide Cancellations.
If you would like more information on this feature, please do not hesitate to contact us at:
I love that it gives an instant promotion of our clients and their amazing businesses. Yet, it’s still safe and secure enough that no user appointment details are released. All your customers have to do is:
1. Create the booking using their FB or Twitter account. Then, on the last page of the booking process where they would click the blue Create button, they…
2. Check off the box that says “Share my booking on Twitter” or “Share my booking on Facebook”
3. Review the text that will be posted to their FB timeline or Twitter feed
4. Finally, click the blue Create button and their appointment with your business has been made and this has been posted to their account
You can now tie certain booking notifications to certain Admin accounts. For example, if you have a provider as an Admin, you can now select that they receive booking notifications for only the appointments that are booked with them.
To assign the booking notifications, please do the following:
> Click on Settings at the top of the screen.
> Click on Admin Accounts
> Click on the blue Edit button beside the Admin you wish to edit. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the box with the title “Receive Email Notifications for these Providers”.
> Check off the notifications you would like that Admin to receive.
> Click on the blue Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen.
If you should have any questions or need help with activating this feature please do not hesitate to contact firstname.lastname@example.org
In a relaxed conversation style Resurva founder James Hamilton, alongside Jon Roth, owner of Crows Nest Barbershop, talk about how Resurva has been a helping hand in the barbershop’s exponential growth.
The footage was then used in a case study that was shown in February at the 2013 Parallels Summit in Vegas, where they profiled clients who use Plesk for large scale server management.
Check out the awesomely shot video below to learn more about our relationship with Crows Nest Barbershop:
Much respect to the Parallels team for coming in and learning all about us and our nerdery. We’d also like to send a big thank you to Jon from Crows Nest Barbershop for not only letting us and Parallels invade the shop, but for being a huge part of the Resurva family, and above all, for the tight fades on the lads in our office.
In dire need of a mid month trim, YLMC’s Moustache Club took to online booking at World’s Strongest Mo on November 17th. Party goers were encouraged to head to ylmc.resurva.com ahead of time to ensure their spot for the event.
With Garrison’s Barbers on site for the majority of the night, we had two full chairs and a lot of happy (and freshly groomed) men floating around the venue. Overall, the event was a great success, and a big congratulations goes to YLMC for raising over $5000.00.

We had SO much fun visiting the crew at The Ranch Wake Park. Here is a video of a few Team Resurva members trying out wakeboarding for the first time. And we also included some thoughts from the Ranch on how Resurva is impacting their business.
Thanks so much to the crew at The Ranch Wake Park. It was so awesome to hang out, try some wakeboarding and check out your business!
Yesterday we rounded up the team and headed out of the city to spend time with our clients, and now friends at The Ranch Wakepark. For a good chunk of the day (and some for the first time) we suited up, strapped in, and tried our hand at getting towed (up to 20 km per hour) on the line.
In addition to the good company, we were really proud to hear that nearly 100% of their bookings are done online – which means that Resurva is truly an integral part of their business. Speaking to those came to play at the park that day had nothing but good things to say about the software really reinforced why we are working so hard. It was living proof that this has increased the quality of customer interaction and maximized profits for those using Resurva.
Stay tuned for video footage from the Go-Pro, interviews, and a few slick turns from some local pros. Thanks again to The Ranch crew for being awesome, we had an amazing day and can’t wait to come back and visit!
“This is an all-too familiar scenario in Toronto: you wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and realize your hair is slowly turning into a mullet (and not one of the fashionable mullets that the Europeans made “somewhat” cool). On your way home from work, you decide to pop into your favorite barbershop for some quick scissor work. Lo and behold, the place is packed, and you spend the next 45 minutes sitting in the waiting room.
Imagine being able to pick up your smartphone and quickly book an appointment, any time, (day or night) without having to repeat every letter of your last name over and over. It’s called Resurva, and it’s available at a barbershop near you. With over 10 years of experience running Offshoot, James Hamilton and his team have developed an app to make your local barbershop trip a little less painful.”

Thanks to The Grid TO and Ian Worang for sharing our story with their readers last week!
“For the past 10 years, Toronto company Offshoot has been working to provide software solutions for a roster of corporate clientele. Most recently, however, the project that has brothers James and Neil Hamilton most excited is Resurva, an online booking application they created as something of an experiment for Kensington Market’s Crows Nest Barbershop. Resurva is now celebrating its first year online and, spurred on by its initial success, Offshoot are looking to to grow the app into their primary business.”
